Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in the process of staging a historic friendly against World Cup rivals, the United States of America (USA) later in the year, as revealed by GHANAsoccernet.com.
Sources from both camps have also confirmed that talks are in progress as regards the game.
The last time GFA played a friendly against a big opponent was the 1-1 draw with England at Wembley Stadium, about 5 years ago.
Report has it that the match will be played on 11th October in Washington, D.C according to GHANAsoccernet.com.
As for the American team, the match would come four days after a friendly game against Cuba on October 7.
Meanwhile, all of three of Ghana's appearance in the world cup has seen them clashed with USA, with the West African team winning two of the matches; 2-1 in 2006, 2-1 in 2010 in favour of the Ghanaian team, and the American team winning 2-1 in 2014.
The prospective friendly game has been viewed by many as a 'decider' in picking who plays best.
