Lawal's Wilmington Hammerheads seeking MLS promotion

Written by: Oladayo Juan Joe Bamidele

Nigerian footballer Qudus Lawal has said he'll give his best for his team to be promoted from United League Soccer to Major League Soccer.

Wilmington Hammerheads win over Port City in Saturday's play-off game will give them a chance of being promoted to the Major League Soccer next season.

Lawal joined Wilmington Hammerheads from Seattle Sounders this season. The team plays in the second tier of America's football league and will be seeking promotion to the top tier division with a victory on Saturday, given that Orlando City B loses.

The player told Daily Trust, "My career has been okay in recent times. I am more experienced due to the players around me and that's helping me a lot to grow and to be a good professional player. My team pushing for a win in the playoffs and we need to win and hopefully Orlando city B lose."

MY VIEW

Hoping to see Lawal play in the top tier of the American soccer league next season.

Go, Wilmington Hammerheads !!!
