Togo national team coach avoids jail term; but was however fined.
Togo national team coach, Claude Le Roy will not be jailed for his complicity in a fraudulent
transfer while he was in charge of French club Strasbourg, but he will however pay a 15,000 Euros fine.
The 68-year-old coach was accused of issuing a fake invoice relating to the transfer of Per Pedersen.
The French man was in charge of the French team between 1999 and 2000.
In the same case, others charged were hit by stiffer sanctions; former president of Strabourg Patrick Proisy was handed a 10-month suspended jail sentence and a fine of €25,000.
Le Roy's Togo qualified for next year’s AFCON in Gabon earlier this month.
