Morocco's Wydad have sacked coach John Toshack following Zamalek disgraceful exit from the CAF Champions League.
Wydad Casablanca has parted ways with former Liverpool man, John Toshack, after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Zamalek in the first-leg semifinal of the 2016 CAF Champions League Friday evening.
Toshack who became the teams coach in 2014, got the sack few hours after the defeat, dashing Wydad's chance of winning the Africa's most prestigious club competition.
The club released a statement that they have parted with Toshack, following his contract termination.
Toshack won the league title with the club in his first season.
MY VIEW
Although it was a heavy defeat for Wydad, but Toshack shouldn't have been sacked.
You are playing against a very good side. Zamalek has established itself to be one of very few Africa's top side.
The club management's decision anyway.
