Written by: Jeje Tomori.

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has extended his club contract at Chelsea till June 2019.

The defender whose initial contract runs out in June 2018 said “So excited to renew my contract at Chelsea.”

Omeruo is expected to finalise a loan move away from his parent club before transfer deadline on 31st August.

Turkish side, Alanyaspor and Gaziantepsor are in main contention to snap up the defender on loan.

The 22-year-old has already been loaned out four times by Chelsea, playing at Dutch club ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough as well as Turkish club Kasimpasa.

Odds have it that Alanyaspor is the most likely club to sign the defender. They play in Turkish Super Lig this season after being promoted from the lower league.
