Former Cameroon captain, Rigobert Song expected to be discharged from hospital, after several months in France hospital.
Song is expected back in Cameroon on Saturday, at the Cameroonian capital city of Younde International Airport. The legend who have in the past won the African Cup of Nations for country was admitted to La Pitie Salpertriere Hospital in Paris, following what doctors described as stroke late last year. However, after several efforts by doctors at the Paris hospital, Song is now on his way to full recovery, and is expected to return to his native Cameroon on Saturday. Song who was a solid rock at the back had 137 appearances for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. He also played for English sides, Liverpool and West Ham. After his retirement from football, the defender worked as a coach for the Cameroon Football Federation, and also as a coach for the Chad national side. Writer’s View So, so happy for the Cameroonian legend. Our wishes from Africanfooty for him is a speedy recovery. Image credit: Ghanasoccernet
