Nigeria Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel is reported to have withdraw from Nigeria's friendly games with Senegal and Burkina Faso.
Rumours currently circulating in the Nigeria news media have it that the former Chelsea man was given the go ahead by Nigeria coach, Genot Rohr.
The reports have it that the Tianjin Teda
midfielder requested for permission to be omitted from the squad so as to help
him settle down properly in the new Chinese League following his winter
transfer from Chelsea.
For now Mikel is the only player among the three Super Eagles players playing in China who have requested to be left out of the game, as the duo of Brown Ideye and Odion Ighalo are yet to toe same line.
The friendly games will be played in London later this year. This is part of the preparation for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
