New Liverpool signing, Naby Keita will take over Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard's iconic shirt number after finalizing his move to the Reds.

Having departed the English side for LA Galaxy in 2015, no Reds player has worn the shirt since then.

The Liverpool legend who is now the manager of Scottish side, Rangers FC wore the number eight shirt between 2004 and 2015; making 470 appearances with the shirt and making 710 overall.

Previous wearers of the iconic number eight shirt include Stan Collymore, Ray Houghton and Sammy Lee. With Keita being the next to wear the shirt.

The Guinean midfielder agreed £48 million move to Liverpool last summer, with the move set to be completed this week.
