Taye Academy Chairman, Kennedy Ezenwere, claimed that the Owerri-based club negotiated a sell-on clause before Kelechi Iheanacho's transfer was agreed.
The English giant had in January 2015 secured the services of the player with a fee in the region of £350,000, seeing off competition from the likes of other European club like Juventus, Stoke City, PAOK, Hamburg and Porto.
With his £20 million evaluation now, the Owerri based club are sure they will get six-figure amount in pounds from Manchester City if in future their former player is sold.
Iheanacho, 19, signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Manchester City last year after leaving the minor age.
