He was named man of the match, playing in a new role as a wing back assigned by manager Antonio Conte who has unwavering faith in the Nigerian.
Moses confirmed via his twitter handle that he pulled his hamstring in the game.
This brings the number of star players who have pulled out of the tie to two, as he joins defender Leon Balogun on the sidelines.
Captain John Mikel Obi and Moses Simon are also battling various fitness issues ahead of the clash.
