African star to miss Chelsea's trip to Watford

Nigerian midfielder, John Obi Mikel , 29, will miss Chelsea’s trip to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday, due to the ongoing Olympics at Rio.

A game against Watford would have been his 250th appearance for Chelsea in the Premier League since his arrival from Lyn Olso in 2006.

Mikel has scored one premier league goal in his 249 Premier League games, provided 11 assists, he has gotten 40 yellow cards, and dismissed once. In total, he has played 16,245 minutes of premier league football.

Mikel who is away with Nigeria's Olympics team has started and led all five matches played by the Dream Team at the 2016 Olympic Games, and he's also available for selection in the third place game with Honduras on Saturday.
