Nigeria has now moved three places up in the latest edition of the world football governing body rankings.

The Nigerian Super Eagles moved three spots higher in the FIFA rankings released today, moving to the 64th position, having been on the 67th spot last time.

The latest ranking also see Nigeria ranked as the number 14th in Africa.

Earlier this month, the Super Eagles beat Tanzania 1-0 at home, as some football experts and pundits said this might have resulted in the upward movement.

Fellow world cup qualifying group nations Zambia, Cameroon and Algeria fell from their upward places; ranking 92nd, 59th and 35th respectively.

MY VIEW
Good news for the Super Eagles, as this might be a boost of morale for the Nigerian side.

Their world cup qualifying group is what I call the 'group of death'.
