Ahmed Musa will fight for his Leicester future

Written by: Seye Tomori

Nigeria's Ahmed Musa has said he will fight for his place at Leicester City after having a difficult start to life in England.

Expectations were on the star when he completed 18 million pounds transfer from CSKA Moscow to Premier League champions.

He has however since then struggled to find form and starting place in England, with most appearances as a substitute, which has in turn affected his international career, hence dropped to the bench by Nigeria.

“I will prove I can make the difference at Leicester,” he said.

He continued, “This is a new team for me, unlike most of the other players in the team and so it will take me some time to fit in but I believe I will soon be commanding a first-team place.”

The 24-year-old has made five appearances for Leicester in the league this season, coming on as a substitute in three of those and without a goal so far.

It's just a matter of playing time. He is good enough for Premier League.
