11 Nigerians to play for England

Written by: Oladayo Juan Joe Bamidele

Eleven Nigerian players have been called up recently by English Football Association.

The players are called up to represent England at various level of football.

The players are:

England U21 (2)

Tammy Abraham (Bristol City, on loan from Chelsea)
Dominic Iorfa (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

England U20 (5)

Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea)
Ovie Ejaria (Liverpool)
Joshua Onomah (Tottenham Hotspur)
Dominic Solanke (Chelsea)
Ademola Lookman (Charlton Athletic)

England U19 (1)
Adetayo Edun (Fulham)

England U18 (3)
Tolaji Bola (Arsenal)
Ash Kigbu (Manchester City)
Dennis Adeniran (Fulham)

A big lapse on part of the Nigerian Football Federation.

How on earth will all these football prodigy be allowed off their hook?

At least most of them are still playing at junior level; some can still be convinced to play for the Nigerian senior team.
